Please Excuse This Julie Andrews Interruption #1

But these are a few of last week's favorite things!

Welcome to a new series on Bibliogloss: my weekly well-liked. The topic's not revolutionary or unique, but I'm quite fickle with beauty products and find myself itching to share quick scribbles on everything I try.

First up is a confession: washing my hair is one of my least favorite beauty rituals. My hair is so fine that it takes forever to blow-dry and, without a heaping dose of thickener, it lays limp against my scalp. I read once that Audrey Hepburn only washed her hair once a week, and while I may not wash as infrequently as Holly herself, this Suave Professional Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo does save the strands above my neck. I spray it a few inches away from any oily bits and voilà, my hair is pretty without sacrificing too many pennies. Plus it's devoid of any white cast that would qualify me to be an extra on Golden Girls.

Next up is tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Powder Foundation. Whenever I unscrew the palm-sized cap I swear I can hear angels singing... it's the first powder foundation I've tried that's full coverage on the first sweep. You know that pesky powder explosion that greets your first attempt at touch ups? Well, tarte has eliminated it; a fabric mesh filter now keeps the powder in the container and not in the air.

If you follow me on Instagram (@bibliogloss), you've seen my obsession with freckled fingertips. I regrettably jumped the gun back in January and bought Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Freckle straight from the source, paying an extra $15 to ship it to America. Now I can only hope to get my pennies' worth by repeated bird's egg brush-ons throughout the summer.

My skincare routine has been purged of most things synthetic, so I've enlisted Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil to  produce vitamin A results the natural way.  Repeated nightly drops has pumped up the plump on my entire face, but the fine lines around my eyes show the biggest improvement. I only wish the bottle was opaque to protect the delicate oil inside.

Do you enjoy this type of series? Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to know!
