Number five on my bucket list? Check. Recently I attended Mario Testino's first American exhibition and emerged on a artistically sartorial high clutching this glossy wonder. Coffee table book it is not, In Your Face privileges you to a sublime pictorial journey into the lens of Mario Testino. What he sees, you see; it is staggering.
For me, Mario Testino's appeal lies in his ability to create an image that is frozen yet full of life. I've dutifully collected every issue of Vogue for the past six years, so the possibility of witnessing life-sized versions of the editorials on my shelf was inescapably alluring. In Your Face is the paper encapsulation of the exhibition and I can't stop looking at it.
Do you have a favorite photographer? What are some of your own monthly must-reads?
