Hello lovelies! This past week I've
been a slave to my flu symptoms and reading every beauty blog I could
click on. Now that I'm well and back to blogging, I've realized
my pastimes when I'm healthy are exactly the same as when I'm sick, except I
wear mascara. Hmm...
The Steps:
With the exception of Lush Popcorn (available at Lush stores this winter) all items can be found at the drugstore.
1. At bedtime (but not nightly), gently buff away the dry skin from your lips using a clean toothbrush or lip scrub. Lush Popcorn is my delicious scrub of choice and I've found excess consumption results in exfoliation, not weight gain.

2. Immediately slather your lips with Blistex Lip Medex. This blue pot holds a seriously heavy duty lip balm at a light price. It's cooling on your lips and will stay put on your pout all night...really! You know your balm of choice should be cased in gold after it remains on your lips until sunrise. Optional: fall asleep to the gentle hum of your humidifier.
3. In the morning smooth on a layer of Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm to your bare lips or under your lipstick. Voilà! Baby soft lips.

You should definitely try one, Andrea Marie! I've only every used Popcorn but I've heard good things about Sweet Lips (chocolate) and Bubble Gum too :)
DeleteI really wish Id picked up the popcorn lip scrub when i was last in lush. I've had the bubblegum flavour before and it worked wonders on my lips.. was tasty too!

Bummer! But since it's sensibly priced, you have an excuse for another trip to lush :) I haven't tried the bubblegum flavor yet myself
DeleteHeyy, I found your blog through your twitter! :) I love the way you've photographed this post! Reckon I might have to try that lip scrub :)

Thank you, and I'm so glad you found me! :)
DeleteI've been after a really good lip scrub for ages and what can possibly be better than a popcorn one?! I hate having dry lips over the Winter months and this looks like the perfect solution, I already swear by Carmex of any variety so i'll have to add the others into my regime.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog by the way!
